Come shop with us every Friday from 11:30-5:30 pm on Locust Lane.

Our mission is to create an environment for farmers and residents of Centre County to mutually benefit from a market of locally produced items. Every vendor is required to personally produce all of the items that they sell.

Thank you for your support over the last two challenging years. We’re grateful for your patronage! Our market is proud to be a vital part of the State College, PA community by supporting local farmers and you, our customers, with farm fresh products. Thank you for keeping the dollars in our community!

Join us Fridays in downtown State College on Locust Lane and discover our market and the people who make it possible.

Our Beginning

The market began the summer of 1976 in the parking lot of Gee Bee’s on Benner Pike. It was created to support the farms of Centre County and in order to be a producer you had to be a local! This was a new concept at the time. The Market ran from mid/late June until October. Only ten weeks!

The market was on Benner Pike for two years then moved downtown to McAllister Street with some vendors trickling down the side alley. The market extended to twelve weeks at first then eventually evolved to add a late market and then an early bird market. Now the market is open from May until the end of November on Locust Lane.

“The soil is the great connector of lives, the source and destination of all. It is the healer and restorer and resurrector, by which disease passes into health, age into youth, death into life. Without proper care for it we can have no community, because without proper care for it we can have no life.”
